ABOUT THIS WEBINAR SERIES:

Homoeopathic treatment has, historically, been one of the most important first line treatments that can be offered in acute situations.  It is a skill as homoeopaths that we need to hone.

In these times, when people and animals are being torn from their homes and uprooted, when we are affected by violence of any kind from natural disasters to terrorist attacks, and when anyone may be beset by sudden and frightening circumstances - this is where we can intervene so easily with acute homoeopathy.

In this very timely series of webinars, Dr Yakir will offer a concise look at how acute treatment differs from chronic.  Severe, acute trauma can shake the patient out of their constitutional state, and such a situation calls for a rapid prescription, for a succession of medicines and for a set of acute trauma medicines quite different from those used in constitutional prescribing.  This series of webinars will help us all to be prepared to act immediately when required.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER:

Dr Michal Yakir (PhD, RCHom) is a classical homoeopath.  She has been in practice for over 30 years and has much experience in dealing with trauma from her emergency care work in refugee camps in Middle Eastern countries, where sudden trauma and fear and stress are a day-to-day reality.

Dr Yakir is the former chair of the managing Committee of the Israeli Association for Classical Homeopathy and editor of the Association's professional magazine.  Dr Yakir has been teaching homoeopathy in Israel for many years as well as internationally.

After studying botany, she went on to a Masters degree in biology and ecology, followed by PhD research in homoeopathy. From her many years of experience as a homoeopath, as well as her knowledge as a former botanist and ecologist, she developed The Homoeopathic Table of Plants which can be found in her book Wondrous Order.
