Australian Homoeopathic Association
Supporting choice, integrity and professional standards in health care
In homeopathy we are taught that the vital force is the animating principle that sustains life and health. Yet as practitioners we too often neglect our own. Our profession demands a unique and exhausting level of ‘active witnessing’, a state of intense presence that doesn’t end when the consultation is over.
Consider this webinar a recalibration. We will explore why homeopathy is a high risk profession for burnout and move beyond surface level self-care to look at how we can protect our own energetic and mental health. Learn how to maintain your clinical capacity and excellence, and patient management, while ensuring your own vitality remains vibrant and resilient.

About this webinar
In homeopathy we are taught that the vital force is the animating principle that sustains life and health. Yet as practitioners we too often neglect our own. Our profession demands a unique and exhausting level of ‘active witnessing’, a state of intense presence that doesn’t end when the consultation is over.
Between the deep listening of taking the case and the invisible work of repertorisation and remedy selection, as well as the self-reflection and development required, the practitioner’s vital force can so easily become depleted. The risk of burnout in homeopathic practice is real.
Consider this presentation a recalibration. We will explore why homeopathy is a high risk profession for burnout and move beyond surface level self-care to look at how we can protect our own energetic and mental health. Learn how to maintain your clinical capacity and excellence, and patient management, while ensuring your own vitality remains vibrant and resilient.
For the seasoned practitioner, if you have ever dreaded the next case, felt stuck in your patient's energy for hours or even days, felt resentment towards follow-up communications, or felt that you are too stressed to work from intuitive clarity then the warning bells are ringing and its time to step up in your personal and authentic self-care.
And if you are new to practice then this is the ideal time to put some practices in place that will sustain you in a long and thriving career in homeopathy.
About the presenter
Taryn Jacobs graduated with a Masters Degree in Homeopathy in South Africa in 2002 and has worked in the fields of homeopathy and holistic health since that time. She runs a busy international homeopathic practice as well as supervising students and mentoring practitioners.
She has taught at various educational institutions in South Africa and the UK and is currently lecturing for the Centre for Homeopathic Education in London.
Tarryn has explored the practices of shamanism and trained in the technologies of Kundalini. Her work is a reflection of the many paths she has walked and explored as a woman, as a student, as a mother of three boys and as a wife, and the various tools she has collected along the way. Pulling from the scientific and spiritual worlds equally, Taryn endeavours to bring intuition, practical insight and experience to everyone she works with.
